Davao Deca Wakeboard Park




Deca Wakeboard Park is now open for public. This is one of the newest tourist attraction here in Davao City. They are open everyday from 8:30 to 12:30 in the morning and 1:30 to 5:30 in the afternoon.

DWP, which opened only August this year, is not only the country’s largest wakeboarding playground but also the Southeast Asia’s biggest venue.
Aside from the cable park, other facilities within the park include restaurants, sports shop, and massage center.

At MAXIMA Aqua Fun, you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and fishing. Also an ideal jump off site for island hopping. Nearby is the San Jose Wall & Cave, a perfect spot to go diving, ideal for beginners and professional divers. You may also want to take a refreshing freshwater dip on one of Samal’s hidden treasure by taking a leisurely hike to haguimit falls, a stone’s throw away from the beach house.

How To Get There
From your Hotel or from Davao City ride a PUJ with signboard R.Magsasay
Ramon Magsasay Park where passengers will be riding the Island City Express Busn and transported by a RORO going to Babak Wharf in Samal.
Bus with Penaplata signboard (much better is there's a Kaputian bus available).
Non-aircon fare is Php40.00
Airconditioned Fare is Php50.00
About 10-15minute ride going to Samal Island.
A manifest will be pass for head count or passenger's information.
Once docked at Samal Port (Babak Wharf) a 30-minute bus ride until you reach Davao Central Warehouse.
There a lot of Habal-Habal (a hired motorcycle which carries less than eight persons including the driver), that you can rent going to Maxima, as for us we choose the bigger one, with wide seat.
Habal-Habal going to Maxima fare is Php25each.
A ten minute ride going to Maxima.

Free use of tables and changes. I think cottages also are free.
Reasonable price of food in the canteen, though they didn't sell ice.
Alot of grilling stations also.
I advise that you put on a mosquito repellant lotion since they are so many mosquitos in the resort.
Crew are always there to help you most specially in the Giant Slide.

Nestled in the idyllic islands of Samal & Malipano,The Pearl Farm Beach Resort  is a former cultivation farm for luxurious south sea pearls.


Located in the southern part of the Philippines is the Samal group of Islands, an archipelago consisting of nine islands which stretch out over a land area of 28,000 hectares. Samal is a beautiful, tranquil and exotic island with a coastline adorned with white sand beaches, abundant marine life, rock formations, mangroves, and landscape of coconut palms, flowering plants and fruit bearing trees. The area is blessed with various natural attractions and flourishing flora and fauna.


Malipano Island, a secluded isle located a few hundred meters of Samal island, is where 7 exclusive villas of the resort are nestled, facing a pristine white-sand beach
and bordered with lush gardens.


How to Get There


From the hotel or from Davao City, just grab a cab and tell the driver to drop you off to Pearl Farm Marina, it's alongside Davao Yacht Club in Lanang District.
It's a lot more easier if you book ahead of time so they can include you in the list of guest and much easier to register.  They also accept early payments in their Manila Office and also in the Davao Marina itself.Major credit cards are also accepted here.
Pearl Farm Marina is the jump off for the guests going to the beach resort. Chartered boat transfer are already provided to the guest be sure to arrive before 8AM, since they follow the schedule.


Day tour package is PHP2,000.00 net per person for weekend (fri-sun) and PHP 1,550.00 net per person for weekdays (Monday-Thursday). The package includes lunch, welcome drink, roundtrip boat transfers and use of resort selected recreational facilities (tennis court, basketball court, game room, beach area & swimming pool). The schedule for Day Tour is from 8AM to 4PM .
Guests who wants to avail boat transfer outside the regular boat schedules will be charged Php 6,000.00 per way.

Hotel staff are pleasant and accomodating. They are always ready to assist you in any way. Also they are always smiling.
For me and my husband we really enjoyed the lunch buffet.  The wide range of main course, fruits and dessert. Clean towels are also provided for each guests. Also a battery-powered kart is always available going to Samal and Mandaya Houses.
Also the a breathtaking view from the infinite pool overlooking samal beach and the parola bar.


Activities in the Island:


A free speedboat transfer going to Malipano Island - a more secluded and more private island of Pearl Farm. Interval of each trip is every 30 minutes.


Fish Feeding - an 1030AM, you'll be able to feed fishes around the Parola Bar. Children and also adults had fun, because we are able to see a mollusk shell ...heheheh


Aqua Sport: Snorkling.Scuba Diving.Kayaking.Jetski


The resort also have tennis court, basketball court and Pingpong table.
They also have their own mini boutique called the "Butik" havey flipflops, woven textiles, accessories and also souvenirs are available in the boutique.


Mandaya Weaving Center is also a must visit.

ZIP CITY is using the standard equipments approved by UIAA (Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme) International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation

Nakakapanghinayang lang kzi Deca closes at 530PM. Mejo konti n lng ang time to knee and wake board. Sherwin [sana tama ung name] hurriedly sign us in and we paid for halfday pass. He also gave us a brief background and instruction on how to kneeboard.

that's me!!!
 I also tried kneeboarding but I only finished half of the circuit since, bumibitaw na ko at hindi ko kaya ang lap turn.  Nawala sa isip ko na naka contact lens ako at wala akong goggles. I'm having a hard time makita ang course, so pag papaliko na bumibitaw na ko sa cable, but it is fun, di ko akalain na magagawa ko ang extreme activity na ito.
 After this extreme activity, mga 2 days yata sumakit ang katawan, so much sa shoulder...hehehe..but it's a rewarding experience, that we'll surely come back.
