Bicolandia: Wakeboarding at CamSur Water Complex (CWC)

For Thanksgiving 2011, we are able to visit Bicolandia, and when you're in Bicol, CWC should be included in your itinerary.  It's not our first time to wakeboard, we 1st experienced it in Deca Wakeboard in Davao. So its no harm if you take refresher course again right??
Register and Payment - waiver also

CWC Wakeboarding staff gives free WB briefing
The good thing in CWC, its a newbie friendly, they have winch cable for those first timers and to those who are just practicing to balance on wakeboard.

hopefully at the end of the day you know how to balance and try the  professional lap
And yes you did!!!

Lignon Hill Nature Park

Another prominent tourist destination in Legazpi. Located behind the Legazpi Airport, its a 30 mins walk uphill so you better have a bottle of water on hand. You will immediately feel exhausted on your first 10mins. Many "pitstops" or pahingahan huts located in every curve.

Lignon Hill's offers a 360 degrees view of the City of Legazpi, nearby towns and islands, Legazpi airport, Legazpi port and the majestic Mayon Volcano. Entrance is Php20. You'll just need to register at DOT office located at the entrance. The hilltop is accessible through a scenic concrete road that winds up the hill.

The best time to ascend the hill is at early morning just before sunrise, while the air is cool, because if this, it has become a favorite exercise area for local joggers.

We started our trek at 4PM, because of lack of exercise, I'm already exhausted after a few minutes of walk ( so hindi lng 30mins ang aking pag akyat sa Lignon Hill..depende sa taong aakyat) partida pa yun ha hindi maaraw, slightly rainshower pa nung araw na yun. SUper feel ko na ang pang iinit ng aking tenga sa sobrang pagod, buti n lng my water.

Cagsawa Ruins From Legazpi City: Cagsawa is approximately 8kms ways from Legazpi. Take a jeepney, with signboards of Camalig, Guinobatan, Ligao, Polangui and Oas. We paid Php15 from Embarcadero to Camalig. Ask the driver to drop you off at Cagsawa. Look for the large Cagsawa Ruins signage at the right side of the road. You may opt to take a trike going to Cagsawa, but they'll just drop you at the end of the road before the bridge, since the bridge was destroyed by the recent typhoon Juaning. So you'll passed by the makeshift bridge before reaching the Cagsawa Ruins. With entrance fee of Php10, tourist will surely captivated by the majestic Mt Mayon and will have a picturisque scene captured.Folklore states that originally Kagsawa was derived from the word “KAG” meaning owner and “SAWA” meaning python. Kagsawa could also mean excesses or too much. The February 1, 1814 Mayon eruption was said to be a divine justice for the people’s overindulgence. The 1814 eruption was recorded to be worst eruption of Mt. Mayon. Some 1,200 people who took refuge and sought the sanctuary of the church during the eruption all died when the church was engulfed by the flowing lava.Only the Cagsawa church belfry remains today. It is a grim reminder of the events that took place and many people come to see the belfry as a reminder of times past. Through all the developments done by the local government, the Cagsawa church belfry remains standing, with the giant stones spewed by Mt. Mayon around and with the history of the region buried underneath. The place is now called Cagsawa Park. It is managed today by the municipal government of Daraga, Albay.Cagsawa Ruins Park is one of the most visited places in the area. From this point tourists are afforded with an unhampered view of the majestic Mayon Volcano with its world renowned perfect cone.At the entrance you'll passed by wide variety of souvenir shops and stalls selling magnets, shirts, native handicrafts and pili candies and delicacies, woven materials, keychains atbp. Inside the park are restaurants where tourists and local residents feast on native food and delicacies.

Ellis Ecotel at Embarcadero de Legazpi

Ellis Ecotel is located at the heart of Embarcadero de Legazpi in picturesque Albay.
They offer you exceptional experience of luxury yet affordable for everyone.

Soft opening last September, we availed the 50% discounts on published rates. (Introductory price). The hotel occupied the 3rd and 4th floor of Embarcadero De Legazpi with easy access to restaurants and posh boutiques.

Very friendly and accommodating staffs. Especially the room service.

The 4th floor is still not ready for guests occupancy. Kudos to housekeeping since they make up you the rooms everyday, change towels and coversheets.

I will definitely recommend staying on this hotel.

Till our next Bicolandia trip.
